Theater for the New City presents:

TROPIC OF CANCER

"Captivating." Claudia La Rocco, New York Times

Vangeline Theater takes you to a New World of Butoh.
Come experience a tropical whisper from the Dark Side of the Universe:
particles from a fifth dimension, imaginary homelands, fish bowls and Henry Miller await you in this stellar evening of dance and poetry. Celebrating an invisible geographical line which links human beings, illuminated by the Constellation of Cancer.

Vangeline Theater is a dance company firmly based in tradition of Japanese Butoh while carrying it into the 21st century.
