It's amazing to what lengths people will go to avoid reality! Whether it's our age, our weight, or even our sexual orientation; we're all a little guilty of denying certain "uncomfortable" truths...
Nikki Jenkins' daring new satire, "Denial! Time to Face the Musical," pushes this concept to the extreme in the fairytale of "Princess" Mandi, a wealthy New York socialite who doesn't know (or doesn't want to know) that she's Black.
"Denial! Time to Face the Musical" was originally workshopped at the Frank Silvera Writers' Workshop in May 2009. Under the guidance of William J. Vila, "Denial!" had a reading at the Matthew Corozine Studio Theatre, followed by an Equity Staged Reading at THEATER FOR THE NEW CITY in September 2009.
Don't miss "Denial!" in full production, April 15 - May 2, 2010!
Are you ready to face the musical?
